SUMMARY:Interfaith Vigil for Earth Justice - December 2025
DESCRIPTION:Interfaith Vigil for Earth Justice \n\n\n\nIn silence – We resist greed and indifference.  We stand with the suffering.  We pray for earth repair. \n\n\n\nAs members of various faiths\, we are called to stand together in silence for and solidarity with our Earth at this time of climate chaos and environmental devastation driven by human greed and indifference.  We call out and resist federal policies that have reversed the progress made in addressing climate disruption and the ruthless steps of the current administration to monetize Earth in our name.   \n\n\n\nJoin us at one of our monthly Interfaith Vigils for Earth Justice on the first Monday of each month (except in Sept. when we will meet on Sept. 8) 12-1 PM at the U.S. District Court building\, 385 W. Broadway.  Please wear black if you can–and if standing for 40 minutes will be difficult for you\, feel free to bring a folding stool.  This event is open to persons of faith and no faith–do join us!! \n\n\n\nWith the severe reduction in clean energy initiatives\, a rollback on many of the plans that would help meet California’s commitment to carbon neutrality by 2035\, and new proposals to increase oil and gas drilling that will harm wildlife and add to pollution of the air and water\, we are compelled to respond.  This vigil is one of the ways that our faith calls us to public witness. \n\n\n\nOur Vigil is sponsored by the Interfaith Coalition for Earth Justice.  For more information contact Phil Petrie at phil@icejsd.org.  \n\n\n\nSave the date! Our next vigils will be held every month at the same location (U.S. District Court building\, 385 W. Broadway): \n\n\n\n\nMonday\, August 4 at 12 – 1 PM  \n\n\n\nMonday\, Sept. 8  at 12 – 1 PM \n\n\n\nMonday\, Oct. 6 at 12 – 1 PM \n\n\n\nMonday\, Nov. 3 at 12 – 1 PM \n\n\n\nMonday\, Dec. 1 at 12 – 1 PM\n\n\n\n\n\nREGISTER TO RESIST

SUMMARY:Interfaith Winter Beach Drum Circle
DESCRIPTION:Interfaith Winter Solstice Beach Drum Circle \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nAs the sun dips to its lowest point in the sky\, the Winter Solstice invites us into the stillness of the shortest day and the magic of the longest night. For thousands of years\, cultures around the world have honored this turning point—celebrating the rebirth of the sun\, the renewal of spirit\, and the promise of returning light. \n\n\n\nOn this powerful evening\, we gather in community to reflect\, release\, and reconnect. Our drumming becomes a heartbeat—echoing the rhythm of the waves\, reminding us that everything in nature moves together. Whether you come for spiritual grounding\, creative expression\, or simply to find joy\, this circle welcomes you. \n\n\n\nThis gathering offers a space of sacred ritual and meaningful connection—between you\, the community\, and the greater rhythms of the Earth. \n\n\n\nFire Ritual: \n\n\n\n\nIntention Setting: Write down what you’re ready to release and what you’re ready to invite in.\n\n\n\nSacred Fire: Offer both papers to the fire—one to let go\, one to bless your new path.\n\n\n\nRelease & Manifest: Allow the flames to carry away what no longer serves you and ignite the intentions you’re ready to bring forth.\n\n\n\n\nJoin us for this luminous celebration on Saturday\, December 20\, from 4:00 to 5:30 PM at Moonlight Beach in Encinitas\, near the facilities building. Enjoy a spacious free parking lot\, nearby facilities\, and the warmth of community.Bring your drum\, your spirit\, and something comfortable to sit on. All levels and all traditions are welcome. Come experience the magic of the Solstice by the sea. \n\n\n\n  Free will offerings accepted to benefit the work of ICEJ  – the Interfaith Coalition for Earth Justice.                 Questions?  Contact Susan Cass at susanpanniercass@gmail.com \n\n\n\n\nRSVP HERE

SUMMARY:Interfaith Vigil for Earth Justice - June 2026
DESCRIPTION:Interfaith Vigil for Earth Justice \n\n\n\nIn silence – We resist greed and indifference.  We stand with the suffering.  We pray for earth repair. \n\n\n\nAs members of various faiths\, we are called to stand together in silence for and solidarity with our Earth at this time of climate chaos and environmental devastation driven by human greed and indifference.  We call out and resist federal policies that have reversed the progress made in addressing climate disruption and the ruthless steps of the current administration to monetize Earth in our name.   \n\n\n\nJoin us at one of our monthly Interfaith Vigils for Earth Justice on the first Monday of each month at 12-1 PM at the U.S. For more information contact Diane Lopez Hughes at dianelopezhughes@gmail.com \n\n\n\nSave the date! Our next vigils will be held every month at the same location (U.S. District Court building\, 385 W. Broadway)
