Twilight Vigil – Repeal the “One Big Bloated Bill”
August 26 @ 6:00 pm – 7:00 pm PDT

As people of faith we believe in feeding the hungry, caring for the sick, welcoming the stranger, and protecting the Earth. The current administration has attacked all of these values through the “One Big Bloated Bill” and as people of faith, we must act.. We fear for our nation’s future. We grieve for those who have died. We choose to use our collective anger to promote change.
During the week of August 23, people of faith across the country will call for the repeal of HR1, to be replaced with legislation that reflects our shared values of caring and compassion. The Interfaith Coalition for Earth Justice will hold a vigil on Wednesday, August 26 from 6 to 7 PM at 385 W. Broadway, in the plaza just west of the Edward J. Schwartz Court House. As we advocate for a change in harmful Federal policies, we will hear from faith leaders who stand against greed and corruption and for common decency and care for our communities.
This is a “Covenant for Our Future” Week of Action event, part of a national interfaith movement to repeal HR1. For more information contact rheakuhlman2@gmail.com
