Answering Earth’s Call:

An Interfaith Forum on Climate Justice

The forum brought together and empowered clergy, parishioners, youth, activist community and social justice organizations, and union members to be leaders in the climate justice movement, and establish a moral framework for climate action.

When: Thursday, September 24, 2015. Doors open 6:30 pm, Forum 7 – 9 pm

Where: St. Paul’s Cathedral, 2728 Sixth Avenue, San Diego 92103 – in the Great Hall, enter on 5th Avenue between Olive and Nutmeg Streets

Program

  • Prelude:  Put a Little Love in Your Heart performed by the St. James Youth Music Ministry
  • Opening procession with interfaith clergy; By Our Love performed by the St. James Youth Music Ministry (email us if you’d like to participate in the procession),
  • Opening invocation
  • A panel of distinguished local faith, environmental, labor and community leaders to explore faith perspectives on climate change, connections between climate and social and economic justice, the Pope’s encyclical and the upcoming climate talks in Paris (see speakers, below)
  • Universal body prayer
  • Concrete, effective actions we can take here in San Diego
  • Inspiring closing
  • I’ll Make It performed by the St. Stephen’s Youth/Young Adult Choir
